Please contact Gina directly for information and registration of this tour! We will meet in Rome, where we will visit the Vatican Mosaic Studio, and take a mosaic tour of this fascinating city! After we will head south to Sicily, and explore this fascinating island off the Southern tip of Italy! Staying in Cefalu, we will visit Monreale, Palermo, Taormina and Piazza Armerina the inland treasures of this mystical island. We will study the Northern African, Greek, and Arabic influences in the mosaics created here, and how they made their way through the Roman Empire. We will also have a hands on micro-mosaic workshop! After we will head to Florence to meet Pietra Dura and Micro Mosaic Masters in their studios!
